James, from New Zealand, and Kate, from the UK, crossed paths continents apart, united whilst working in sunny Perth. For Kate, it felt like serendipity in action. After a delightful first date with James, she bumped into him on the street the next day, then several times after. Fate seemed to keep them connected with a series of chance encounters.

Their hearts, like their feet, then found a shared rhythm in running, an activity that soon colored their day-to-day; as though each run brought the promise of a new path to explore together, where words became unnecessary and their synchronized heartbeats spoke volumes.

After a while, James knew he wanted Kate by his side for the rest of their journey together. The groom went above and beyond for the proposal– quite literally. He arranged a helicopter ride, and asked her to be his partner for life, whilst flying along the coast of Western Australia, amidst the breathtaking views of a quaint island just off the mainland. "It was incredibly romantic. And quite amusing, too, because the pilot heard everything," Kate recounted with a laugh.

The engagement unfolded during the pandemic, necessitating a pause on their celebration plans. Finally, circumstances had changed enough for them to commence planning their dream wedding– an overseas affair they had always envisioned.

However, life had a delightful twist in store; before the world fully reopened, their duo expanded to a trio! Welcoming their first child together, they marked one of the most joyous milestones in their relationship.

The quest for the perfect wedding venue began in February 2023, leading them to the shores of Bali. They soon discovered a place that stole their hearts. Having explored various venues, they discovered a treasure in Tirtha's enchanting chapel.

Tirtha’s charm sparked Kate's imagination, offering the perfect blank canvas for her boho, whimsical wedding dreams to come alive.

Planning their dream wedding overseas presented a unique challenge. The chapel ceremony was a highlight for everyone. The choir was awe-inspiring, a favorite element of Kate's, not just for their beautiful singing, but for flawlessly delivering their song. This added a deeply personal touch to the vows, making the moment even more special.
