Bali Real Wedding
Fisca & Ming
Jun. 09, 2019
Reminiscing their love story, Fisca and Ming were just a colleague when they saw a friend posted a wedding picture at Tirtha Uluwatu. “It would be very nice to have a wedding there, but we need to find the partner first!” everyone in the room was laughing without knowing how the two later will have a love story.

The Preparation

The Ceremony at Tirtha Uluwatu | Air Wedding

The Glass Stage was decorated with a canopy dressed in various shade of blue, perfectly match the sky and the ocean.

It was 4.30 pm, Ming smiled when he saw Fisca walked down the aisle through the Chapel. Her bridesmaids were lining up before her while her father walked on her side. With a background of the Indian Ocean, they had Akad Nikah, a Moslem wedding ceremony surrounded by families and closest friends.

As time goes by, they realized how they feel to each other and decided to spend the rest of their life together. “Both of us grew up in countries different from our nationality. We shared a lot in common and it felt nice to have each other around” they said. Started the wedding planning, they contacted Tirtha to secure the wedding venue. “It was only six months prior to the date we wanted, we were so lucky Tirtha still available!”.

Instead of having the wedding at the Iconic Tirtha Chapel, they decided to celebrate at the Glass Stage. “We loved the Chapel, but we also loved Glass Stage ambiance which is very Bali.” Fisca reminiscing.

After the ceremony finished, they proceed to Sungkeman, an Indonesian tradition where the couple kneels before their parents to express their gratitude for being raised and guided throughout their life. During this time, the two also ask for forgiveness and permission for marrying their chosen one.

Tears shed on everyone’s faces witnessing this heartfelt moment. “It was initially my mom’s request, when I brought this up to Ming’s parent, they agreed to do it…” said Fisca. “We were glad we did it” she added.

The Reception at Stone House

Grand Entrance
The dinner takes place at the garden area of Stone House where the guests performed a surprise flash mob led by the bridesmaids. ”There are just too many happy moments! We were surrounded by the closest people that contributed to the ‘making of us’.

All of our guests were very happy with the venue, a beautiful sunset, and great food. Some guests even started considering to renew their vows at Tirtha! Our parents were also impressed with the team. Very helpful and professional!”

First Dance
"As a couple who lives overseas, we are very grateful for Tirtha’s communication and assistance. They were very helpful from the beginning" she smiled.
