The Preparation at Tirtha Uluwatu
As a representative for The Indonesian Students Association, Angela was tasked with welcoming a new arrival – Vendy. Her role was to ease his transition into student life abroad, and their initial interaction remained professional.
However, destiny had other plans. Their paths crossed again at church, where a supportive and loving community fostered a beautiful friendship. Within this nurturing environment, their feelings began to grow.
Berlin became the city where their love took flight. Their first adventure together sparked a travel bug that would forever bind them. From the bustling streets of Singapore to the iconic skyline of New York City, each journey brought them closer. But it was in Berlin where Vendy planned to ask Angela to be his girlfriend.
Fast forward to their fifth anniversary. A tradition of exchanging gifts held strong, but the backdrop had changed from dazzling cityscapes to their new apartment. On the sofa, amidst the roar of a Formula 1 race on TV, Angela, unaware of Vendy's secret plan, beamed as she revealed his present, a Lego set. When it was his turn, Vendy wasn't quite ready to present his gift but didn't want to spoil the moment.
In the background, the car noises seemed to echo his racing heart as he took out a beautiful, dainty ring, a token of commitment. He promised to buy her a bigger ring someday, but it did not matter to Angela. It wasn't about the grandeur of the ring, but the love and intention that shone brighter. Overwhelmed with emotion, the couple rushed to call friends and family to share their news.
The Ceremony at Santo Silvester
Inspired by a friend's magical Bali wedding, Vendy and Angela envisioned their own romantic escape. For Angela, Bali held cherished memories of family and fun. They craved a scenic haven – good weather, blue skies, sunsets, and the calming embrace of the ocean. Finding the perfect venue, however, presented a challenge.
Planning from afar, they yearned for a venue that resonated with their desire for nature, intimacy, and a break from traditional Indonesian wedding norms. They envisioned a celebration where they could connect with their guests, ditching the rigid formality of staged greetings.
Tirtha became their dream come true, with Vendy's parents' seal of approval following their visit to Bali. The Catholic wedding package offered a seamless experience, managing everything from church logistics to guest and couple coordination.
Transportation flowed flawlessly, ensuring everyone arrived on time for the ceremony. "We were worried about punctuality," they confessed, "but thanks to the provided transport, everything unfolded smoothly."
Beyond logistical excellence, according to the couple, Tirtha's magic lay in the connection with their planner. Vendy and Angela felt comfortable voicing their deepest desires.
The Tirtha team also excelled at catering to their diverse guest list, a blend of international and Indonesian preferences.

The Reception at Tirtha Uluwatu
A year before the wedding, they had a food tasting, featuring Japanese and Western fares, but they yearned to showcase the essence of Bali to their international guests. The Tirtha team, ever responsive, surprised them with a completely new menu – a blend of Balinese specialties that wowed everyone, including the discerning Indonesian guests. The entire experience, from service to food, made them feel like royalty.
Grand Entrance
"Indonesian guests can be critical of food," Angela admitted, "but Tirtha nailed it for both cultures. It was a perfect fusion – world-class cuisine with a local touch." While they didn't have a specific theme in mind, Hanamizuki's ideas greatly inspired them.
They embraced vibrant fuchsia, complementing the venue's existing bougainvilleas with stunning floral arrangements. The sunset photoshoot, a unique perk of the location, captured the day's magic with breathtaking results.
The spacious venue allowed for genuine interaction with guests, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, unlike a typical convention hall. It felt exclusive, romantic, and entirely "theirs". Looking back, Vendy and Angela emphasize the importance of finding a planner who clicks with your personality and work style. Their planner perfectly mirrored Angela's detail-oriented yet concise approach.
Cake Cutting
Angela's special request for a private 15-minute moment with Vendy on their wedding day exemplifies the flexibility and attentiveness of the Tirtha team. Their wish was granted without hesitation, highlighting the lengths the planner goes to ensure every detail falls into place.
First Dance
Their advice? Plan everything – don't underestimate the importance of preparation, and don't be afraid to voice your needs. Vendy and Angela planned their wedding for two years, yet stress crept in at times. They offer a comforting reminder – "anything can happen, and that's okay."
