Over a decade on, high school sweethearts tie the knot in an intimate tropical wedding, surrounded by greenery and pops of fuchsia.

Their love story didn’t begin upon meeting in primary school. Jo-Yee and Lenny weren't fond of each other until years later when a friendship began and blossomed into romance. Lenny admitted, he was the first to fall head over heels.

Lenny loves her wit, but also her inclination to follow her heart, even if it defies the norm.

For Jo-Yee, it was Lenny’s compassion, patience, and ‘smarty brain’ that sealed the deal for her.

The couple then dated for more than 10 years before the wedding bells rang.

What convinced the couple to take the next step in their relationship were the things they appreciate about each other and their shared love of anime, rap karaoke, and eggs for breakfast. Their ability to connect with each other, especially through their sense of humor, gave no room for doubt that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

Before the festivities of their destination wedding in Bali, Lenny arranged a surprise proposal to Langkawi Island, when he was so nervous he accidentally threw their air tickets in the bin. “Luckily, a janitor found it and returned it to him or else we couldn’t have boarded the plane,” the bride affectionately recalled.

Fast forward to the heavenly cliff’s edge of Tirtha Uluwatu.

Lenny appears cool, calm and collected in his dark teal suit and aviator sunglasses, elevating his genteel demeanor.

Jo-Yee and Lenny envisioned a fun, light-hearted celebration for their destination wedding in Bali.

Loved ones all adorn colors in perfect harmony; from soft hues of baby blue and lilac to navy and midnight blue.

Golden frangipani trails the aisle where all eyes turn to her as she emerges, giving everyone a first look of her bridal gown and royal-length tulle veil, with her garland-like bandeau shining as a crown as bright as her smile.

The pink bouquet in hand and the fuchsia-themed floral decor add vibrancy to the evening, setting a lively mood in the garden. It’s a ceremony between two love birds but also a gorgeous marriage of blue and pink tones against the Indian ocean backdrop.

Following the nuptials, a pre-dinner coconut-sipping sunset hour gives a window for the guests to catch up and truly take in the awe-inspiring evening.

Hanging lights cascade from the ceiling and illuminate the golden-centric and pink bougainvillea-furnished table tops, where dinner is served.

And just like that, Jo-yee and Lenny’s dream destination wedding came to life.

The newlyweds and their guests had dinner indoors where toasts and luxurious dishes commenced.

What’s special about their day? The beautiful memories made, the couple agreed in unison. New sentimental souvenirs to remember complete with a mesmerizing view, and of course, amazing food!
